Yeah, Giants stadium is 60,000 seats (vs. Gorge's 20,000). It's nearly impossible to sell out multiple nights there (unless you're Bruce Springsteen).

do you have any idea how fast they've sold out giants stadium? is there somewhere i can find out?

i've noticed that DMB really is HUGE. but when you look around at your friends, you seem to be the only fan. i know its not just where i am, cause friends all over the country say the same thing. its just so strange that you seem to be in such a minority, but hten you look at their tour stats and are blown away at how many die hard fans tehre are.

A lot of people like the DMB. It just depends on who you talk to. But normally yes if you like him your not considered "cool". But DMB is much better than the crap they listen to though.

Yeah, I think you missed the sarcasm drueling off her lip. Also, I think its ludacris to say that if you like him [dmb] your not considered "cool", unless i just didn't pick up on your sarcasm.

no that's not sarcasm. in a lot of places, if you like DMB, you're a loser. i'm still made fun of sometimes because of it, but its coming from the people who listen to rap and pop and have single songs on their ipods, only teh singles. ridiculous.

It depends on where you live. Around here in New Jersey, it's kind of a status thing. Everyone owns at least one DMB cd, but you never hear anyone listening to them. But once it's concert time, everyone has tickets.

I get in arguements with Metal heads about music and they hate DMB though they have only heard like two of their songs.

Britney Spears might be on TV more, get more "awards", have more radio play, but is nowhere close to the CD sales and ticket sales that DMB has. Britney Spears could never sell out the Gorge, and DMB does it, 3 nights in a row, every year. No one would ever take the trouble to go to Alpine Valley to see her, but DMB sells out both shows at Alpine EVERY year (just to fill you in, Alpine Valley, in Wisconsin, is out in the middle of nowhere, the parking lot is just a huge grass feild. It's hell parking at getting in and out of there. It takes HOURS to get out of Alpine, and parking is so disorganised when you come in. Also, the walking up and down hills tires you out so easily.

DMB may not sell as many posters as Britney Spears, but she will never match the amount of fans (and even more true dedicated for life fans) of DMB.

here, im kinda looked on as one of about 15-20 of die-hard fans in my school of 2800... were into real music, we have a good taste in music, and our social status is just labeled as "hippy" im ok being a hippy, i listen to jam bands, and other music like that, but its not right to label everyone that listens to DMB as a hippy.

I disagree, Ive never known anyone to be made fun of or labled a loser because they like dave, but maybe its different in different areas of the country, for instance i would make fun of someone for being a Poison fan or a boy band fan.

i get made fun of all the time because I like Dave.

And I'm definately a hippy. And it was probably my taste in music that started it.
