There are certainly valid objections to the manner in which the songs were arranged and recorded, and I do not like every song on the album by a long shot (check my response in the "worst song" thread).
However, ever since the album came out, it's been "cool" to rag on Everyday, for whatever reason. Whether people were upset simply because Lillywhite wasn't involved, or that Ballard was (due to his "pop" background), people rag on it a lot of times for emotional reasons, not musical ones.
If you just don't feel the album; the lyrics and music don't fit your ear; you dislike the smaller role played by Roi and Boyd; I say, rock on. You've evaluated the disc, and you have presented some reasoning behind your opinion.
But when you discredit every song on the album, simply because it's Everyday, you're missing the boat. It's the purely emotional tantrums thrown by some supposed "adults" that piss me off.
