my theory is, if you believe he's passed his prime than you'll be pleasantly surprised by and more impressed with the songs he writes from now on. I dunno, whatever he does, I'm probably gonna like. I have so far. except for a few of those damn Everyday songs. :x
good, and you?

yeah, I honestly think ED is pretty good...I hate mother father though, that song is terrible...I'm not the biggest fan of so right either honestly...it just doesn't do much for me. and I think I'm the one person who really digs sleep to dream her...I think it's a great song...great lyrics, interesting guitar part...leroi soars on it...the song is just heavenly in my opinion...like a dream...

yeah Sleep to Dream Her is very underrated. great lyrics, the guitar parts flow so nice. I didn't try to learn it yet but its hard to get that sound on the acoustic, anyway so I won't be hittin' it anytime soon.

he played it a ton in 2001...7-25-01 is nice, I could hook you up with an iem of it sometime...and everyday and I just spent some quality time together and I've concluded that it really is a good album...even by dmb standards...

great songs: when the world ends, if i had it all, what you are, fool to think, sleep to dream her, everyday

good songs: i did it, space between, so right, dreams of our fathers

descent song: angel

terrible song: mother father

as a studio album, I think it's better than busted stuff...busted stuff just sounds underproduced...you never know fails to capture the energy of it's live performance, other songs are numbed down...everyday is a great studio album. the songs really just flow so well. when I think situationally about where dave was with the lilly's and then with everyday, it makes sense why it must've felt good to make this album...it just flows beautifully...it's so easy and smooth...there are no real rough spots...this is the first time everyday is beginning to make sense to me...

welcome to the club, gcom. or the dark side as some would have you think.

And sleep to dream her is great. VERY underrated. Fool to think is breath-taking. And I love so right. Just to name a few of the stellar tracks.

sleep to dream her I think is the best track on the album...it just soars...people complain that it doesn't have a real chorus, however I think the music speaks for itself in the breakdown...it's just a very powerful and emotional thing going on with leroi belting it out on the sax...this song is just great as is the album. I've always liked it but I'm really appreciating it a lot more right now.

The fact that it has no legit chorus is one of the reasons I like the song. It's good when you can break away from a traditional mold and pull it off, which sleep to dream her does beautifully.

Almost that cool jazzy feel themed song like most of the feelings and tunes off of BTCS!

I love that cool jazz vibe :D

My favorite Dave songs are that smooth feeling that Dave gets off of BTCS...however, I LOVE (absolutely love) #41, Two Step and others...some of the best Dave stuff is the beautiful studio work like those songs...I also love that all of his albums are different; like fazes...im looking forward to the next album!

My fav. Dave albums are BS, BTCS and UTTAD

What STDH does so well is mix time signitures. I swear the guitar, vocals and drums are all playing in a different time signature. It's really frustrating to listen to when you break it down. But if you sit back and just listen, it's a great song. I've ALWAYS thought so, and wondering why people always bash it. Same with IDI. I like it. I like the engery, and the really aren't as bad as people say they are.
