DMB speech

I was thinking about going into the charities they do and the benefits such as Katrina... I just didn't want to do a topic that I wasn't interested in and I didn't feel comfortable talking about

It sounds like everyone is disagreeing with me on this but I guess that everyone has their own view on things, but I can see where you guys are coming from

I see what you're saying, and I'm all for picking topics you feel comfortable talking about, but I noticed you said you went to a university. Not trying to be mean at all, but do you think this topic is university level? I just think your grade might benefit more if you did a different topic.

If you're really going to do DMB at least mention how their tour bus driver dumped shit all over a boat on the Chicago River or how Dave likes to pee on women. You'll have the classes attention fo sho

I have to jump on the bandwagon and say this is not a great idea. From a teacher's perspective, I would say doing a persuasive speech on dmb or any band for that matter could be very interesting if you pick something unique about that band to discuss. But to say something like DMB is the best band in the world is WAY to general. Keep your topic and arguements simple. Too much ambiguity won't help you, especially at the university level!

Ya you guys talked me into it. I'm not going to do it. It was mostly just a thought, less of an option. Dave likes to pee on women? I think Ill do something on recycling or eating organic foods

I wouldnt do a speech on dmb either, maybe on how they are a unique band from the main stream yadda yadda but...i dunno

I was waiting for someone to point this out. This doesn't seem like a topic that would be used in a college course. Maybe if you did a more specific aspect of the band, but not that they are the best band in the world.

I would slit my wrists if I were sitting in a class and someone gave a "this is why xxx band is the bestest evar!!!1" speech. Just sayin.

It's for a Speech 110 class. Its like a beginning speech class, even though ive had a speech class before this one.
