DMB speech

So i was assigned to do a persuasive speech at my university. I was thinking of topics to do and one of my conclusions was to do it on DMB. I was thinking that I could explain how DMB is the best band in the world, a sort of fun topic. Do you guys have any suggestions of how I could do this? Or what I should include in it?

Yea dude that is so sweet that you are doing a pursuasive speech on DMB! You could first off explain that there is AMAZING talent in this band and that Dave Matthews Band is increasingly getting more popular. No other band has as much talent as DMB does, and there are a lot of bands out there that are talented but not as much as the people in this band. They are basically unbeatable when it comes to experience and talent.

I think you should base it around something seperate then best band in the world. because there isn't a such thing as best band in the world. You could possibly make it "dmb is much more then the stereotypical frat party band" or "dmb is the most original band in currenty rock music" you know something along those lines where it's more specific, and you can actually have more points to persuad on. Remember that persuasive essays are not just showing someone something about the topic, or why this is true. you are convincing them that there is no other option or possibility.

Alot of people are turned off to DMB in the first place, doing a speech saying they are "the best band in the whole world" is just a bad idea.

Maybe some people are turned off by them but those people also do not know a lot about DMB in the first place. I think that a DMB speech would be a good thing to talk about to let other people know about them but I think that it would have to be well thought out and planned and would have to watch what you say in the speech

Nothing personal here, but this post is absurd. DMB is way far from the most talented band in the world. How can you even begin to compare them to a band like the Flecktones?

i love DMB, but i know that they are not the most talented band in the world. like Sims said, take the flecktones for example, they are hands down better musicians than DMB. I love DMB, but it is just not logical to call them the best band in the world.
