either way, people who showcase in operas and classical scores do harder, they might not have their music memorized but they do crazy stuff. Plus there are violinist out there who play faster, better, and stay in tune. not trying to get boyd down, he's a very strong part of the band, but ya.

MMW is incredible, especially when they play with john scofield.

In terms of technical skill, Al DiMeola is incredible. His latest electric stuff is great. I got a chance to see him last year with his band, and they were incredible.

Check out Pat Metheny, his stuff with Jaco Pastorius on Bright Size Life kinda rocks, and, Nelson Veras if you're really into the more soft type of jazz...
