Dave and Tim Tour

Unread post by skiizalot » Wed Jan 15, 2003 10:31 pm

I just got the Warehouse announcement. Dave and Tim are doing a mostly East Coast tour. That totally sucks for people like me that can’t afford to fly from Alaska. That is the only thing I have on my to do list for DMB. See Dave and Tim. Anyway, figured I would let the rest of you see the e-mail.

We are pleased to announce An Acoustic Evening with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds
in the following cities:

Wed, Mar 19 / Careerbuilder.com Oakdale Theatre / Wallingford, CT
Thu, Mar 20 / Ryan Center-University of Rhode Island / Kingston, RI
Sat, Mar 22 / Radio City Music Hall / New York, NY
Sun, Mar 23 / Eisenhower Hall Theatre-West Point / West Point, NY
Tue, Mar 25 / Belk Arena-Davidson College / Davidson, NC
Wed, Mar 26 / Constant Convocation Center-Old Dominion University / Norfolk, VA
Fri, Mar 28 / Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum / Winston Salem, NC
Sat, Mar 29 / Holmes Center-Appalachian State University / Boone, NC
Mon, Mar 31 / John D. Millett Hall-Miami University / Oxford, OH
Tue, Apr 01 / Rose Arena-Central Michigan University / Mt. Pleasant, MI
Thu, Apr 03 / Elliott Hall of Music-Purdue University / West Lafayette, IN
Fri, Apr 04 / Physical Education Center-Carthage College / Kenosha, WI
Sat, Apr 05 / TBA / TBA

The Warehouse has received a limited number of tickets for the acoustic tour, which
will be offered to members through our priority ticketing service. The Warehouse will
offer reserved seating and due to the limited availability of tickets, please note that all
members will have the same opportunity to order tickets and seniority status will not apply
to the seating assignments. Please note that taper seats will not be available for this tour.
Taping may not be allowed in some venues and the Warehouse will notify members of
which venues will not allow taping prior to the beginning of the acoustic tour.

The ticketing request period will begin Friday, January 17, 2003 at 12:00 PM (noon)
Eastern Time and will close on Monday, January 27, 2003 at 12:00 PM (noon) Eastern
Time. To place a ticket request, please log onto the Warehouse website, go to the
Ticketing section and click on Request Tickets/Tour Dates. Ticket orders will begin
processing on Tuesday, January 28, 2003. Members will receive an e-mail once seats
have been assigned asking them to check their Ticket Status on the Warehouse website
to determine whether or not they have been confirmed for Acoustic Tour tickets. Seat
assignments will be confirmed prior to the public on sale dates, which are to be announced.

Tickets will ship approximately three weeks prior to the show by either Fed Ex or UPS
two-day service. Members will receive an e-mail confirmation upon shipment of their
Warehouse tickets. If delivered by Fed Ex, a signature is required at the time of delivery.
Please note that replacements will not be issued for lost tickets. All questions regarding
Warehouse tickets should be addressed to Warehouse Ticketing (whtix@davematthewsband.com)
and not the venue box office.

I'm sorry. Next time I'll search the posts for an hour to make sure that I don't put the same thing up twice. We all know that never happens. Heck, maybe I should get your e-mail address and double check with you in the future.

At least it's now in the right forum :)

no need to get hasty, skiizalot we appreciate you letting us know about the tour. I'm gonna try my best to hit the Wallingford CT show, but I don't think it can happen for too many reasons. but whatever.
good, and you?

This was not at all in a condescending tone (at least it was not intended to be)...... i was just saying that we should keep ourselves confined to single threads whenever possible...

Happy to be a Redhawk!

Not rubbing anything in (to those on the West coast or not close enough to attend a show) but I go to Miami and when I seen today that he's coming here I about pissed myself! I'm a Warehouse member so I'm obviously going to the show here and I think to the Purdue, and to the Central Michigan show. I’m show pumped - I've been on a buzz all day. Does anyone know his recording policy for cameras and camcorders to save me some time from looking it up??? I’d like to take a camcorder in there if I can.

Can't wait for the Road trip to IN and MI.! :D 8)

You are not allowed to bring in camcorders.

There's a chance I might make one stop, actually. One of my really good friends from high school (an ex-gf) goes to Wake Forest, and there's a show there.

She and I have been talking about me heading out there for a visit, since I'm done with school. This might be the thing to get it done. :)

Me and some buddies here at GA Tech might be heading over to NC to catch the shows on 3/28 and 3/29. We have some friends over at Wake as well and my parents live in the area...kinda...well ok in the same state. This is going to be AWESOME!

I'll camp at a ticketmaster window if my warehouse tickets don't come through.

It's not sad....it's D&T!

Warehouse

Unread post by skiizalot » Thu Jan 16, 2003 3:31 am

When I renue my membership at the end of this month, it will be the fifth year of my warehouse membership. Usually that means I get sweet tickets to every show I put in for. Unless, of course, the Warehouse uses the same lottery that they used for the Seattle solo show that I didn't get tickets for (that lottery was random as opposed to the normal seniority lottery). What does this all mean. Well, simply put, I might be able to score tickets for up to 5 shows. The only problem is there is no way my wife will let me front the cash. The one week period where your account is hit and your confirmation isn't in kills my financial budget and pisses my wife off.

Oh yeah, that TBA show better be the Performing Arts Center in Anchorage Alaska or I'm breaking all my guitars and taking up needle point (don't hold me to that).

Nah, it needs to be in the MO, IL, AR, TN, or KY area......It really needs to be one of those five.....MO most of all.

Could someone tell me how this Warehouse lottery system is going to work? I know you can only get 2 tix per show, 5 shows max. My buddy want to sign up for 5 shows to make sure we get tickets, are they going to want us to pay up front for all of those? And suppose we do get picked for all 5 shows, are they going to make us buy all those tickets? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see 5 shows but we'd need some kind of zany scheme to come up with that much money...

Suppose we have to buy em all, is it cool to sell them on E-Bay or something? For face value, of course...

And lastly, are our odds pretty good of getting tickets for one particular show, and we shouldn't even bother putting in for the others?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, my friend got his Warehouse membership after this past winter tour because we were sick of getting screwed out of tickets at the MCI Center.

Again, thanks in advance.
