why are IEM's so illegal to trade or however you wanna put it. but why is it so frowned upon?

My guess is because it's the bands only way to communicate with each other on stage. Privacy issues and whatnot. It's almost like having secret microphones in the room while you're with your friends, or your gf. I wouldn't be a fan of that shit being circulated around. Plus, judging from what half of these recordings actually say.. it is almost a complete opposite of DMB's image, :lol:
