for the last 4 years at spac i have had lawn seats everynight dmb played. that all changed this year. to make a long story short, a friend of mines best friend is a son of a assemblywomen and has lots of cash to throw around. anyway, this kid played in a 5,000 dollar buy in torney and ended up winning 90,000 $ playing poker at turning stone casino in central new york, so the next week he bought a 2007 escalade 65 grand cash down, and preceded to buy 2 front row orchrestra tickets for dave for 500 bucks a piece. (great money management)
well, this kid got the tix for him and his gf, his g/f freakishly broke her ankle thursday night and thus the extra ticket was offered to me at 5pm friday night (half in the bag), needless to say i nearly shit myself. the show was absolutely amazing, i was front row out of 40,000 people directly in front of dave himself. cruising from Lee's Pond to SPAC in a decked out esco to sit front fucking row, it was something ill remember for the rest of my life!
anybody else have similar concert experiences

Way back in 2001 at SPAC my friend and I scalped some lawn seats for 50 bucks a pop. It turned out they were fake we got rejected by the scanners. So we were pretty bummed out and down 50 bucks and were thinking of what we could do to get in. As a last ditch effort we went to the ticket booth and there was one 13th row seat that somebody had cancelled. We couldn't decide who would get to go and after hearing us debate the women was nice enough to let the other ticket right next to it which hadn't been cancelled yet go, which she was not supposed to do. So it was a great night, we went from not going to the show at all to getting 13th row seats and those new seats only cost 50 bucks each so it was well worth it.

i broke my ankle last summer and got to sit in the cripples section, a lot closer than I could have managed otherwise.

I have lived overseas my whole life. When I came back to the USA for college in Wisconsin, I got 7th row center to Alpine for Dave, my first concert ever. Great night, unbelievable...

my closest was 5th row and stage left a bit. i had fun. i wasn't a huge dave fan at the time and the concert was actually not very good, dave was having a really bad vocal day, but it was fun nonetheless. some good jamming.
