Maybe it was sarcasm? Like"Oh yea, this place sucks ass.. I hate playing here.." cause that sounds like something dave would say..

I was at that show and actually snuck back stage, security is waht sucked.

good thing though for me. It was rainny and cold that night, when dave came out after the show he waved and got on his bus and left, I was 2ft fom him. KICK ASS.

WHAT?!?!?! SECURITY SUCKED?!?!?! DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! we were actually supposed to pull stage security and back stage where dave was security but they hired some damn security team out of charlotte to pull the security...you're right though, they looked like a bunch of unorganized 4H members instead of a security team. anyway, we got stuck pulling floor security w/ one person guarding the back exit. oh well. i could have met the guy until they hired that damn security team.

about the money, i highly doubt that dave is doing it just for the money.

a)he encourages taping and sharing of his shows
b)like Beauford33 said, they are the 3rd richest group with 75 million a year. how could anyone possibly use all that money. once you get over a certain amout, money doesn't matter anymore
c) ticket prices don't go directly into dave's pocket. there is the road crew, the venue, all the light guys, etc. and
d)im taking an econ class right now, the law of demand is, when Demand goes up, Price goes up. Dave is very popular so its only natural for the tickets to be high.

remember that the source isn't reliable so he may have not even said anything. ok, i'll stop my rant now

well like i said, boone does suck. and it snowed that night. it's just freaking cold. it sucks. personally, i don't think he said it, but if you've ever been to boone then i can kinda see any multi-million dollar musician saying it. eh, who knows. just thought it would be an interesting discussion, i mean dave is human just like everyone else.

For all that are afraid that Dave is an ass - he's not. I was vacationing with the fam in FLA last year and I heard a rumour that he was staying at another hotel with his wife and kids. I thought nothing more of it until my wife said she saw him at WDW while I was in another park with some friends. SHe told him I was a HUGE fan and if she could get his picture, which he said of course. She told him that I was an Air Traffic Controller in Toronto and that it was absolutely going to kill me to know that I had missed him. Anyway, I got the picture, and a few months later I rec'd a package at work with an autographed band shot, a pair of tix to the Ontario Place show in Toronto, and a note that read - To a devoted fan, sorry I missed you earlier - take this note to security before the show, we'll catch up there. Dave
My wife and I spent about fifteen minutes with the band before the show started. All the guys are top notch.
