DrumsFoDaSoul wrote:Could anybody tell me how some random lyrics get into a DMB song. Like in Jimi Thing "Stop, hey, whats that sound everybody look whats going down." Or in The Stone. How did it all get started? Crowd or DMB?
They aren't exactly random lyrics, they are interpolations (sp) of other songs. "Stop, Hey, whats that sound everybody look whats going down" is a line from Buffalo Springfield's "For What Its Worth." The stuff at the end of the stone is usually "i cant help falling in love." Minarets and Pay for what you get sometimes have beatles song interpolations as well
I know what the songs are but how did they get invovled in a DMB song? Random?
It could very well have just been something that Dave thought up. I'm pretty sure it was something that someone in the band, or even someone in the back, thought was a good idea. Regardless of who thought it up, they do indeed seem to bring something else out in songs.

Shit, could you upload that? I'd love to hear that duel, man

On topic: You should definitely get that near-30minute medley of #41/Sojourn of Arjuna with both the Flecktones and DMB all on stage.

I think 90 minutes is not gonna be enough

Cortez the killer with warren hayes at cp is an enjoyable song, or All along the watchtower usually has good jams...

Well here's the list I finally came up with:

#41 (luther college)
The last stop (Live tr 1)
Warehouse (live tr 2)
Jimi thing (Cp)
LIOG (the george)
#41 (live tr 1)
----- these are the ones that will go to the 90 minute compilation.

These are back up.

Seek up (george)
Two step (cp)
Sugar will (live trax 2)

Thanks a lot for the help!
