Unread post by gravesRR7 » Mon Oct 27, 2003 10:16 pm

so there is an opne mic night at my school, and there are only two people signed up for it. so i get a bunch of time to play. i'm very excited, here is my setlist if you care

the stone
gravedigger
two-step
warehouse
#41
tripping billies
lie in our graves

i might even get my drummer from my band back home to do a conga drum in the backround.
i'll let you guys know how it goes. just excited, so i made a post
how's the setlist?

yeah i was thinking of doing that, but my raised-b guitar has a problem with a fret and the string buzzes a bit. i could live with it, or use a capo. but that is a kick-ass song

yeah, if you don't have any originals written, at least try to mix in a cover of a dif band in there... the crowd might get a little restless that u r playing all DMB songs.

okay, well stupid or not, i want to play dave songs, so i'm going to play dave songs. a lot of hardcore dave fans are going to be in the audience, and for everyone esle, i'm sure they won't even know that some of them are even dave. i'm in it for the fun, not to please the audience. the dave fans going will be pleased, and my friends will be.
and i could say that watchtower (i decided to add it) is a bob dylan cover, so technically its not all dave, lol
but i'll keep it in mind for the next one, and i'll throw in some other stuff, i'm working on NEON, almost got it down

I see no problem playing dmb songs, but at least only play half of those. It's nice to have more variety. Throw in some Dylan, Beatles, Jack Johnson, somehting. It will most likely be a better evening. Go ahead and play dmb, but not all dmb, you don't want to smother them ;) .
