why does this topic come up so much? is it that hard to imagine some one that you may regard as your hero to be a drug user? i understand that some on this site use more than advil to relieve thier haed aches, and some don't. but some need to understand that dave is human, and that drug use in moderation isn't going to ruin a person. this is only my opinion.
not a member of "bank of mommy and daddy"
wtf nobody's arguing about whether or not dave's done drugs. and i dont think anyone's complaining that he has or still does in moderation, considering the amazing music that hes been able to write.chris murphy wrote:why does this topic come up so much? is it that hard to imagine some one that you may regard as your hero to be a drug user? i understand that some on this site use more than advil to relieve thier haed aches, and some don't. but some need to understand that dave is human, and that drug use in moderation isn't going to ruin a person. this is only my opinion.

as you probably realize some of the dmb community do drugs too (giant surprise). so really they wouldnt care. the only point is that dave is in his 40's, and has two children, its just hard to believe (not saying its impossible) that he would be messing around with cocaine. when he was younger he has mentioned some of his experiments with drugs, but i just find it hard to believe he would be doing cocaine now. marijuana occasionally yes, i think mushroom tea was mentioned in an article about the stand up sessions, but as far as cocaine it just seems highly unlikely.chris murphy wrote:why does this topic come up so much? is it that hard to imagine some one that you may regard as your hero to be a drug user? i understand that some on this site use more than advil to relieve thier haed aches, and some don't. but some need to understand that dave is human, and that drug use in moderation isn't going to ruin a person. this is only my opinion.
furthermore, it really doesnt matter, because it is all specualtion. the only people who would know or actually know are people close to the band and possibly family members. these are my opinions also, im not saying youre wrong because its impossible to be wrong about specualtion without facts. personally, i could really give a shit what drugs dave or any artist i enjoy listening to do, as long as it isnt effecting their lives and the longevity of their careers.

Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. I think, "It is better to drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.

Those are my thoughts too. I really dont care about the musicians drug use, political beliefs, or criminal records. I listen to what I like and I don't really care too much about the personal lives of the musicians.wkpggrvn2001 wrote:

If anybody saw/read the thread with video about Eddie Vedder and Ben Harper doing a song together, I expressed a similar sentiment: that I really just want to hear these people play and sing, that's all, you can keep all the bullshit about their politics, sex life, drugs and all that jazz out of it.
