you ever noticed that daves voice is not that bad hitting those high notes during the normal tour..........but when he does the shows at the end of the tour that are a four day stand like weekend on the rocks he loses his ability to hit those notes, i think they shoudnt release those shows............it should be a show like msg 12-10-05 where he was hittin all of the notes pretty well like during pantala naga pampa..........on weekend on the rocks he didnt even attempt the high note on pantala naga pampa.......

I was surprised when he hit the highs on Say Goodbye on an official release in 05... red rocks i think.

They said on Ants, that Say Goodbye had been dubbed in the studio for the high notes

I think the Red Rocks set was overkill, and a lot of the "official" released shows are overkill as well.

It's always fun to look at old videos or listen to old recordings of Dave sounding like a high kermit the frog and now look where he's at, look how is voice and style has matured. It's awesome.

I used to think Dave had a good voice. Now it's irritating to me no matter the beginning or end of the tour.

Like somebody said earlier, his voice when he was younger was annoying as shit. With people posting his real early stuff I've realized how much better his voice is now. He's got that raspy smokers voice, almost inspires me to smoke a couple packs a day.

yeah same hear, isnt there a healthy way to get that voice, voice training or something.

Haha I wouldn't call myself a regular smoker, but I do it fairly often ... it gives you a raspier voice but sure as hell makes it hard to hit the high notes with all that tar in your throat
