2000 is before 2004-2005, is it not?

So yes, he is right.
Yeah, if he was comparing to 2000. Which he was not. He was comparing it to 1998.

So no, he is wrong.

He cited 98 as an example in which to convey his opinion through, he never said "dmb is more energetic now than 98." What he said was that dmb is more energetic now than ~ two years ago.

thats an absurd statement, see live trax 4 that watchtower was rocking, and it has definitely been at the level and "more ass kicking" than it is presently.

and as far as the heavier sound, i think gianni alluded to it before. dave yells to make up for the other notes he cant hit anymore. i personally find some of the yelling he does during the songs have become somewhat annoying and out of place. i like the well-timed yells and where they actually fit within the context of the song, some of it just annoys me anymore.

What yells do you think are out of place? Just out of curiosity, i agree to an extent. But songs like Seek Up and Bartender have only become better because of it.

i agree with you there. ill probably get flamed for it but some of the screaming on Jimi Thing from CP just sounds stupid.

to tell u the truth ive been a fan for a long time, most of my life and now that i look at it this post could go on for ever its really a fact of what each of us is look for in a concert, when i go see dave i really look for the scatting, the screaming, the heavier songs like stand up, hunger, watchtower, but then i also look for the loving wings, and then the lover lay down and seek up..........so i feel the energy off of the stage from those things so these last two years my hunger for those things has been filled feeding my idea that the last two years have been heavier which they have in my opinion and more energetic which can be proven right or wrong depending on what u look for in a concert

and dont rip me up on what i look for now cause thats what i like so lay off that.......

good points all around. its all up to the individual, but debate is always nice too

I hate Jimi Thing in any form, so fair game. No harm no foul
