If it was some big opening act like that I'd drive across the country and give an arm & leg for tickets.... I had already heard that they have some really good openers this next summer tour i can't wait!

Fenway's defin. one of the last great American ball parks, what makes it so wonderful are the same thigns that make it annoying. Location, seating, prices, etc.
And for the record, being a life-long Yankees fan in Massachusetts is very tough.

How is the venue set up for a concert?

They stick a stage out in left field, throw some seats down and off you go. Any open field can be set up for a concert? The sound qaulity is not great but the historical significance of the venue is huge.
