RunswithBuffalo,
I love the picture in your avatar! One of my favorite movies.
Yeah Alpine Valley is a great venue and defnitely the best in the midwest. Anyone who has ever been to Red Rocks or the Gorge has always liked those places better. I haven't been to either so I can't compare. And yes they are overdue for an official release.

Yea I waited in traffic for 4 hours and then paid 100 bucks each for two tickets. It was my little brother's frist show... My plan was for him to be the DD but I got him too hammered. I had to suck it up and make the long drive back.cart wrote:oooo and does any one remember last year on the first night when that storm rolled in out of no where. that was insane!! we though the show was gonna be canceled!

Fuck yea, I've been there the past 3 years. I couldn't get tickets to the first night of this years, but I got tickets for like 11 or 12th row on the second night, and I've never had a better DMB experience, I danced the entire show, from the start of OAR to the end of DMB.
We were close enough to see the sweat drip off Dave and now that I'm spoiled on the great seats I'm going all out next year, and am hoping that I can get first 5 rows through the Warehouse. I don;t care what I have to spend.
AND Yes, DVD please!!!!!!! Great Freakin Venue!!!!
Oh yea, the TRAFFIC!!! People were out playing football and frisbee and drinkin havin a good time in the middle of the interstate HAHA!!! That was a weekend to remember for sure!!! But the second day, I don't know how, but we were the very first car into the tailgate area!
another cool thing about that weekend was there were some kids from I think Missouri that just happened to stop by at the restraunt my band was playing at and they were on there way to Alpine, and they got a little Dave teaser from us, and they loved it.
Good Times

Nice pictures. That storm was a sheisty one. I was standing on our porch watching the beast tear up the land. A tree was bent over parallel to the ground, the winds were so strong. A few of the trees in our lawn were uprooted as well. I'm glad I wasn't at the concert.
And I'll sign the petition for an Alpine dvd.

haha that blows especially when you are camping. we had one at deer creek for phish one year, we were all pretty high and it rolled in about an hour or so after the show. it was vicious, shit was blowing away. we woke up the next morning with tents strewn about, people had just jumped in their cars and took off to a hotel. we were so messed up we kind of just got high inside the tent and let it blow by. it was crazy. one of my buddies went outside for like 2 minutes, and was yelling for us to come out and help him get shit together. we said fuck no. we were in a field we figured anything of value wouldnt fly to far and we could find it the next day.

thats fucking cool looking though, how much did the temperature drop when it came through, thats always the eeriest feeling.

well it was pretty shitty outside before this. if i remember right, it was kinda breezy and cool but then the tornadoe sirens started going off and it just dropped instantly. i have a video on my other computer i think, i forgot i switched my camera setting to video so it recorded me running to my friends car. i was droppin the f-bomb like no other. pretty funnywkpggrvn2001 wrote:

That storm last year was insane. I was at a party at Bong right before it hit and watched as Hell made it's way across SE WI. But it always seems to storm at least one of the days of an Alpine show. A couple of years ago those people got struck by lightning in the parking lot and there was torrential rains before hand. In 2002, we got flooded out of our tents night 2 and four or five of us ended up crammed into my girlfriends Shadow. I think 2003 was nice. Weather just tends to factor into things at DMB Alpine shows; you can almost depend on it.

He was bleeding from his eyes and ears. I gave him CPR while we waited for the paramedics.
One of the most traumatic moments of my life.
I got seriously messed at the show later on. I spilled every beer I bought on someone.
