I'm sorry but IMO injecting animals with steroids and hormones just so you can have a bigger chicken breast can't be good for you! And the term "organic" is supposed to be used for all natural foods (even though the FDA's guidelines are somewhat questionable). All that said I still don't care to eat organic food

Well, you're right about steroids and hormones in their current state. They're a bit questionable. Even though their actual effect on our health is far from completely documented (Might not be as bad as we think). Thats why we're turning to new methods of increasing our production, like genetics. Maybe with the development of genetically engineered food sources we can overcome the problems of steroid and hormone usage so the products are as healthy or even healthier than the natural ones and at the same time are easier to produce.

Genetically engineered products go through incredible amounts of testing that nature products just dont go through. There's no reason to immediatelly dismiss all artificially influenced foods as unhealthy to any extent greater than natural ones.

In the end my point comes down to production efficiency. As our population inevitably grows we're gonna be in an ever increasing need of new food resources. Its obvious that nature cant sustain an ever increasing amount of living things without collapsing unto itself. We have limitted amounts of land to produce limitted amounts of food. Artificially influenced ones produce more food using the same land and resources. Therefore it is healthier to us as an evolving race to use these methods instead of having large percentages of our population starving for no particular reason.

Not to mention we'd be damaging our natural resources a lot less.

all i know is that when i have a organic meal it tastes better.,,,,perhapse non organic food is over critisised but hell, it cant be good to fuck with nature so much.
