12-22-02 MCI Center in DC
Hmmm... I have mixed feelings. Obviously dave's voice was kinda out from the MSG shows and the steroids he said he was on.. so they jammed to everything... even stuff like grace is gone. decent sounding venue, i was as far back as you can get and nose bleedin (section 410). Interesting solo work on 2 step. Jimi thing was fun... i dunno, mixed feelings overall. It was kinda mellow and somewhat boring to me at times... anyone else?

Doesn't it make sense that as soon as I move away from Maryland, Dave announces he's gonna play there again? And it's the last stop no less! And after hearing about that ridiculous show the other night in New York, I had this feeling that Dave would top it at MCI. But I saw the setlist, it wasn't anything special, and there were no guests, so I guess I didn't miss much. I still would have killed a man or a small number of men to see it, of course...
yea, i went to the show too. I thought it was pretty damn good, best show ive seen in a while. DDTW was a good opening song. I loved how everyone got into everyday and kind of forced him to improvise in 36 (unless he planned it i dont know
) favorite song of the night is two step

Yup, it's a big picture

haha sorry, i havnt been home for a while to check the boards. anyway, i was directly to the right of the stage one section up, right infront of the VIP/bar area. I'm not from the D.C. area so I dont know the MCI center too well, hopfully you can figure it out from my bad directions haha.

I went to the show....thought it was pretty good.
The set list needed could have been better...but it was still good. I was in the very last row facing the stage so I couldnt see a thing. This might just be me, but it seemed like Boyd was outa control. He was all over the place and was playin really really well.....just my two cents

I went to this show, first dave show and first concert at that. I thought it was an amazing performance. DDTW was a good opener. Boyd was amazing, he was all over the place, i think i had my eyes on him half the time. I really enjoyed Everyday and how everyone got into it as well. I also enjoyed Grace is Gone, Pig, and WWYS. Two Step and Too Much were my favorites for the night. Guess I liked them all. Was an incredible concert for me. Hope to see many more of his in the future too.

That was "Loving Wings".Davefan0886 wrote:I had a question about a song at this show. I think he played a new song and i have no clue what the name of it is. I'm pretty sure it was the song before Where are you Going, Although i could be wrong. Anyone know what the song was? Sorry it's not that good of a description I know.
It's not new, but it's never been released on a studio album.
