anyone think thats cool?jsgksu wrote:I still like my 3 hour LIOG idea that I saw posted on Nancies years back. Open up with LIOG, do the whole fade out in the end thing, then just play the rest of the show. Right when you think its over... "Well I cant believe that we would lie in our graves..."
The Last Stop idea owns it, but when I read that on Nanices I thought it was pretty cool.

Last stop - all the band members have a kick ass jam, and then all leave one by one. all have a solo before they leave
first Butch, then Boyd, then LeRoi, then steffan, then dave and carter play out for a while.
carter tones the drums down quietly and leaves.
dave finished one last verse on the outro with "goodbye, friends, goodbye" bows out and leaves stage for the last time ever.

Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Tictacs, I'm sorry, but your suggestions are horrible. I'd shank dave with a screwdriver to the kidney after the show if he ended with hunger or diggin a ditch. Haha.

do you REALLY think i was serious?
i think you all did.
but really, i woudn't mind them going out with a nice slow song, like Cry Freedom or Butterfly or #40 or Spoon or Proudest Monkey or IBYU.
"I remember thinking,
I'll go on forever only knowing I'll
see you again"
Great.
I do'nt get the aversion people have to ending shows with a slow song. The flecktones for one, do it all the time, and I think it's amazing. sometimes there is just no better way to do it then with a slow and moving song.

I agree with you. My thoughts would be that they put out a full show like never before...blowing everyone away....but in the end I would love it if Dave and Stephan would sit down alone and do a slow, quiet song coming from the depths of their heart. That's my dream ending. Call me a hopeless romantic.i like tictacs wrote: I do'nt get the aversion people have to ending shows with a slow song. Definitely. I will cry too. No, correction... I'll probably bawl (sp). Like a big, blubbering, lost baby.
I hope that I can get tickets to their final show too. I've gotta rejoin the Warehouse before that day comes.
