If dave played bass on one of their songs, the bass players wouldnt like it. Stefan played some retarded, electric 3 power chord song and whattya know, it sucks. Sorry fellas.

Has your opinion on the album changed? I remember you really liking it initially.

I guess i'm not a very good critic, i love the new album. I like "every" song on the album. I listen to the album atleast twice a week, still. I admit that Hunger has some new'er age lyrics to it, quite a different aproach to a song then dave has used before but i still appreciate the message(and no, not about the blowjobs...although those are great too!)

Actually, 99% of them don't. I think your pointless contribution to this thread is juvenile.

Tic Tacs I was refrrign to both the music & the lyrics.

When I say music, you immediately think of actual chords. I think of it a bit differently. I think music is how those chordings are put together and when I say the word cheap, I mean basic. While Proudest Monkey was a simple song chord wise, it was arranged very well.

ok enough of this banter
Seriously though, it's a song that can be written by any subpar band. DMB has never written such cheap music such as that song before, and to make it on the album is just plain pathetice when Crazy Easy could have been on there instead.
Completely agree, Crazy-Easy was my favorite new song of the '04 tour. If Dave sat down and came up with some killer lyrics for it with a more powerful Roi solo at the end, it would be a classic.

not a big fan of hunger, at first I really hated it but it's merely ok to me now. I'm not gonna jump in on whether it's this or that musically or lyrically, but there is an overall feel to a song and that's whether you "feel it" or you don't. Hunger just doesn't do it for me. And the feel is everything put together really. Music, lyrics, presentation...etc.

I like Space Between. Hunger is OK live. It sucks on the record.

the reason i so love the music of dmb is that it covers so many different styles and influences. no one is going to say this is a crush, or twostep but this still is a good song.....
this song is simplistic in terms of chords and rythem..........but then so are many of there other songs......STJL, gravedigger and ants etc are all guilty of this, but dont get so much of a bashing.
it may be heavy rock/ grunge style but its better than what a 99/100 hard/grundge band could write.
.........also during hunger, you sort of feel tha its like bieng at a conventional rock concert as opposed to a dmb "listeneng experence".........lash out a bit ............. imo..... fun song and will probally help a few more people get into dmb
Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"
