I watched a video of him a while back playing Clarity solo on Bailey's. It was so much better than the pop dorkiness of the album version, and had a haunting, chilling quality to it.

has anyone listened to any of the John Mayer Trio's shit on iTunes? The music is good but his singing has reached new levels of shittiness. I only listened to the 30 second preview but it also sounded like his lyrics were still directed to the same pony rides and bubble gum crowd as before.

joking. i love em both. dave for the rythm, mayer for the lead. both for the song writing. but i think dave was like carter on stand up and was toned down alot.

He just did it on the new Eric Clapton CD and for Buddy Guy (I believe).
