When the hell will DMB release...(no, not Red Rocks)

Unread post by trippinbilly314 » Mon Sep 26, 2005 11:44 pm

some frikken shows from alpine???!!!!! for real though, ive been to red rocks, its totally awesome but here are some things to think about.

1) DMB already have an official release from Red Rocks. it is one hell of a show, prolly the best two step ever. so why another release?

2) DMB has released shows from The Gorge. IMO, that was so dumb of them to release the box set cuz daves voice was TERRIBLE, especially on Satellite.

3) The Gorge is OVERATED, i was there this year for saturday and sunday.......NOTHING compared to Alpine.

4) Alpine Valley has the best atmosphere for the fans, examples: Awesome Venue, Stellar Sets EVERY SHOW, Good acoustics, Lawn view is actually good, kegs grills and bottlerockets are everywhere after the concert, and not to mention IT IS DAVES FAVORITE PLACE TO PLAY!

5) Finally, RR and The Gorge have had their time in the spotlight, why cant Alpine? Alpine deserves it JUST as much if not more than RR or the gorge.

Let the Arguing begin.......

1. That red rocks was years and years ago. The four night stand is completely different, just the same venue. And red rocks is a submecca for dmb fans, the first being the gorge.

2. Yeah his voice was lame, but they promised the gorge and there are some gems, so take it for what it's worth. they couldn't back out.

3. The gorge is about the experience, there's no guarantee the setlist will be spectacular. it's about meeting people and having an amazing weekend with great music.

4. None of that shit matters except for the setlist, and as good as you claim they are, they probably aren't strong enough to be immortalized on an official release.

5. Profit.

i still think the people of wisconsin and everyone who has attended shows there do deserve a official release of some sort. if you havent been there, go, the experience will blow your mind. for me, it did more than the gorge this year.

East Troy, WI.

Great place for a show. You should try it sometime. I've been there 2 or 3 times. Best one in the Midwest.

I think Saratoga Performing Arts Center needs an official release personally. But I have heard Alpine is a good time, just too far for me.

Alpine live release...bring it.

Anyone who's been there knows.
Anyone who hasn't, sorry.

15 or so. Gorge, Riverbend, SPAC are some of the nicer outdoor ones.

Oh yeah, GGP was freakin sweet too. :D

I pick one or two out of state venues a summer and just go. I've seen DMB all over the country, and Canada.

Tweeter, Desert Sky

I would guess/assume that most ampitheatre are similiar in setup and design. Alpine is way different.

Yeah SPAC is awesome, I've been going just about every year since 96.
