Anyone know how Dave stays in tune on every single damn song, I almost never hear him out of tune?

He switches guitars often, and Monk (his guitar technician) retunes them all during the concert. Dave also has a chromatic tuner on stage which he almost never uses.

all guitarist or most always stay in tune the whole time cause they have millions of them backstage that they can change any moment they want, if daves guitar went out of tune and he really wanted a new one he could stop the song switch guitars then start again.

A normal guitar wouldnt just go out of tune over the course of one nights performance anyway, would it?

I didn't say if you play Dave's songs, I said if you play like Dave does, meaning absolutely attacking the strings with every strum, jumping around, etc. etc. I bet you don't break 3 strings a night playing Dave songs, but Dave does.

He's broken at least 2 in every concert I've been to, and most people will say the same for them. He covers it up VERY well, though. Unless it's an absolutely crucial string, you'd never know unless you were watching his guitar for every second of the night. During one of the concerts I went to last year, he broke a string during Hello Again just a bit before the drum solo, so when it started he just walked off stage and Carter extended the drum solo a TON and when he finished Dave walked into the spotlight with a new guitar.

He broke at least 4 at mansfield last year on night one. i say at least because i missed the first two songs. so who knows...this year he broke another 3 or 4 from when i sat up close and could see, however night one iwas in the ass end of the ampitheatre so i couldn't tell. listen to the last stop from Live Trax one, he's very out of tune by the time bela starts playing Jesu, Joy of Man's desire.

You're a liar. He broke a few at Burgettstown this year. I questioned the random switch of guitars during a setbreak...the songs didn't change tuning and he didn't bring out the 12 string. He definately busted a string or two.
