I'm so sorry you think that. That really isn't the atmosphere in London. It is far less about the music than it is the cause.

It's really saddened me that you think that.
well i think he was talking about other people's thoughts, not his motives/thoughts/whatever is the right word...and sadly, i have to agree that i would guess most of the american attendees are drawn by the music, not the cause....

The name bob geldoff rings a bell but I dont know who he is.

And if you watch coverage of the american telecast and they ask people why they are there, their like "for a good time, awesome bands, hang out with friends, get drunk, etc. " then theyre like, oh yeah, and for the cause too, yeah man, wooooooooo!

Im sorry it saddens you that I think that, but Id be even more sad over the fact that thats pretty much how it is here.

you may have missed it if they're playing live nationwide. dave went on at around 2:30 eastern time. if you're watching live, enjoy pink floyd, great seeing them come together for this.

I honestly don't think I missed out on much with this concert. I have an apartment in Philadelphia that is one block from the art museum they played at, however I didn't go because I couldn't get off work. Now that I see the set they played, I am not as bummed out. Of all the bands, the only ones I would have wanted to see was Dave and Linking Park, but everyone played such short sets, so I would have stood around for 8 hours to hear roughly 40 minutes of music I cared for. They should have had seperate stages so each performer could have done more of a complete set, even if that meant 6 or 7 songs, that still seems more well rounded than 3 or 4. Just my thoughts though.

The point of this concert was not the music.
