For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

1. Sweet Up and Down
2. You Never Know
3. Raven
4. Joy Ride
5. Hello Again
6. JTR
7. Captain
8. Kit Kat Jam
9. Bartender
10. Monkey Man

In somewhat of an order. Sweet Up and Down was the first song that came to mind, and I was tempted to make it a one song list. The rest of the stuff on there is good, and if I was being really picky, it would have personally ended after Raven. The end of the list is real forced, because a lot of what's come out post BTCS...is not great. That's just my opinion. Tear my head off if you like, but as the band gets tighter and tighter, the music they write also gets less and less interesting.

What gives me hope is not the new material that comes out of DMB. It's what they do with their old stuff. For instance, one of the best things in my opinion to come out of the 2003 tour was Typical Situation, and the new full band jam that came with it. Incredible that they could take a song played mostly solo (please correct me if I'm wrong) for years by Dave, and turn it into a full band masterpiece, exercising their skills in melody, harmony and rhythm. Also a spirit raiser for those of us who are nit picky, was the revamped Jimi Thing jam which I was fortunate enough to see in 2003. Very very cool. So hold out not for what comes out of DMB in the future, but what they do with their "classic" material.

YES. I DO.

ok. This is what I've heard. Sweet Up and Down was a song that the band was working on back during the Lillywhite Sessions. Connected with the bands frustrations with producer Steve Lillywhite was the fact that he made the band do over 100 takes of Sweet Up and Down. The band grew to hate the song. As bbatsell pointed out it, hasn't been played since 2000, where it was played about a dozen times over the course of two months or so. Do to the band's apparent hatred of the song, I don't think we'll ever hear it again. Which certainly bums me out. Which I will demonstrate by the smily I choose to use:
