This article kinda reminds me of "What the $%^$&^% do We Know?" but the theme is a DMB album.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Dave has never said anything about being/or believing in the religion of christianity. I like how the author of that article tried his best in stealing lines from Dave's songs that either make fun of or steal an idea from a religious point of view. I know soo many christians who love dave and convince themselves that Dave is a christian at heart and at some point he's going to give in and accept jesus as his personal saviour.

Like that one psycho on Ants who said Dave was an angel sent down to Earth. I know someone has the link.

saw them between the mayfield project and skynyrd, but they were pretty cool. i hate to say but i enjoyed their set
I didnt think it was all that great.

And believe me there are many harder christian rock bands than Switchfoot, such as Skillet, Thousand foot crutch,Pillar, etc.

are you kidding me, that review is such a fucking joke. i love how certain groups of people take anything and everything they can and twist to fit their own certain beliefs.

Code: Select all

It's also some of his most deeply felt, soul-searching, and biblically inspired music since 1994's "Christmas Song," which focused on Christ's birth and death.
ha. why dont they mention the Oscar Wilde quote, dave said during the entirety of the vh1 storytellers show? If jesus christ were alive today, the one thing he wouldnt be is a christian.

give me a break

if they like the music because they can apply it to what they believe, whats wrong with that?

Yeah, I mean I love how they say some songs mean this and that. How the fuck do they know? Its cool to have their own interpretations but I would never say a song has one certain meaning.

So how do you know it doesnt have that meaning? Those lyrics definatly have some kind of religious part to them, its obvious. But no one but Dave knows the true meaning of it.
