I believe its way better than the LWS, but missing JTR, MM, SUAD
Yeah if you replaced Digging a Ditch (the worst song on busted stuff in my opinion) with JTR, this album would be with the elite albums (uttad, crash, btcs).

I really love the instruments on Busted Stuff. "You Never Know" has a perfect blend of all Boyd's violin and Roi's sax, and also demonstates Dave's greatest lyrics next to "Dreaming Tree" in my opinion. Stephan's bass lines on this cd are incredibly complex, and fit perfectly into the songs. Stephan shines more on BS than on any other album, it really gave him a chance to show his talent.

I got into DMB when Busted Stuff came out, so I did not hear the LWS versions. I was awed by the amazing musicianship and songwriting, and made me fall in love with the band.

I actually would have been quite happy if they went back and worked with him again for this past CD. Although he is no Lillywhite, at least we would he gotten something closer to the DMB sound that we all grew up with. And while the tracks don't captivate the raw emotion and tone that the LWS had because the band just wasn't in that "dark" place anymore, I still find myself going back to listen to this CD quite often, unlike Stand Up which I haven't gone back to listen to in awhile (the lyrics and melodies are too painful and repetitive at times that they actually make me cringe.) Not once on BS do I find myself stopping and thinking "WTF was that?" Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts, what do you all think?
You summed it up pretty well there. I'll listen to Stand Up every once in a while, mostly on my drive to work. Then I get there and I'm all walking around singing "Stand Up!".... Then I say... "WTF was that?" Grrr stupid annoying loops.

On a side note... how bout that Sugar Will on the Bonus! Yes! :D

I think the producers confuse the band and steer them away from their full potential lately..

Hopefully Everybody Wakes up and they will come around.. and find that place, that they danced in so long ago

Just an observation, but you are the most sarcastic person on the boards. Almost every post of your's I have read has been sarcastic. Now, when I make a sarcastic comment, you get your panties in a wad. And for the record, don't think putting a smiley face right after "I would beat you down" makes it OK.

Could it be that my sarcasm is simply ignited by foolish comments made by people who think they are guitar gods? Only 2 people I have seen on these fourms can back up they're shit.. adwolf & pat..

i'm just trying to prove a point

which is.. that everyone should just be more patient with each other, that's all

i am very sarcastic, but am also a nice guy.. if you ask me for a favor, i will do my best to do it.. but i don't have the pirate resources that some of these guys have for trading..

And if you did that shit in front of me, i would have a smiley face.. cuz i know i would *try*

I would get in an internet fight with you, but from the looks of your mugshot, I can rest easy that you won't be beating anyone down........ever. If you want to continue this (which I don't) PM me or something, but keep it off the boards.

Which goes to show you haven't been here nearly long enough to be making proclamations like that.

This isn't the Sarah McLachlan boards. If you make a cheesy ass comment like that you're gonna get made fun of. There would be something wrong with these boards if someone hadn't stepped in and made fun of you for that.
