I think even Glen Ballard would be a step up from this ass.
By ass, i'm referring to Mark Batstreet Boy.

After watchung the DVD side. I have a different perspective on how the CD came to be. It's nice ot know the story behind the CD and indivdual songs..
I may have a new respect for the CD and Mark after watching it.
And I also discovered from the video that Stefan is completely gay.

I guess I should go pick up my CD from the front desk, huh? Been sitting there for 4 days, haven't had any desire to go pick it up.

The dvd made me realize how overly critical people really are when it comes to dmb..And really guys, do you think dmb gives two shits if people think that they're too "pop" music now? They're playing what they're having fun playing

Props to the Jellyman..
I, myself, loved this new CD.. except for the actual song Stand Up.. which I thought was too repeatitive (sp..? ah dun care) ..
Anyways.. yes you have a right to an opinion, belive that is what these forums are for. But if you wanted another BTCS or Crash or UTTAD.. forget it.. It won't happen again. This band loves to experiment, as we first saw in Everyday. The lyrics on this new album just blow my mind... especially since some of 'em have special meaning to myself. All I've heard from these boards are complaints.. and not a lot of support for a band that not only has changed my life.. but has had quite an impact on yours as well. Petition to do what? Sounds kind of ignorant to me, and you can cram your democratic bullshit up your ass for all I care. I don't even believe in Democracy anymore thanks to our current Dick-tator. But this band has lead me to music in a way I never dreamed possible. They are the reason I picked up a guitar and started to play.. they are the reason. I don't worship them, I just highly respect them and what they have done for so many people. Now you bitch about the album not being to your exact tastes, but maybe you should open your eyes & ears and actually listen to the music. Instead of just hearing that maybe the drums on this album sound a bit "pop'ish".. But this album has a lot of funk.. and it touches Dave Matthews' roots. They are gonna leave behind a grand legacy.. and fuck ya'll who don't support what a great band this is.
Peace, Love to ya'll,
Brian

well we still do have a democracy (I'm not sure how you put words in bold so its in the previous quotation). The guy that got the most electoral, and I think, i'm not 100% sure, popular votes is the pres...but from what i've heard of the new album which really is only about 10-15 min in my friends car, sounded good. the drive ended with the "stand up" tune, but the others sounded good, so i'm assuming its overall not bad. guess i'll see later on

I know a petition is a crazy idea that wouldn't do a thing. I just think there are a lot of people who have poured a ton of money into this band and they are a little pissed with the last couple albums being pretty shitty.
shut up. I'm not one to really give a shit what people say, or care much if you feel like you have to bitch- but no one makes you buy their stuff. You're all a bunch of retards.
What the fuck is your problem? I just said a petition obvioulsly wouldn't do anything. As a consumer I have the right to bitch about whatever I want, and by using your logic nobody makes you read my posts so
if you don't like it don't read it.
I dont think he would know if he liked it if he didnt read it?

lol

Personally, it doesn't bother me if people do or don't like the cd. That's just the way shit is. What's irritating is people who feel that DMB "owes" them something "better" than this. DMB doesn't owe anyone jack shit it doesn't matter how many concerts you've been to, cd's you bought or how many times you whacked off listening to them they don't owe you anything.

well i must say, I've never done my thing to dmb... maybe i'm in the minority, i just assume other people don't..but I would.hot that others make their own judegments...i heard rought three songs while going to comp usa today (2 songs and then the one where dave said "stand up" multiple times). That is time where the live audience should start to reiterate.

ya again you guy have your opinions. But I suggest you to you why bitch at Batson? Your all asking for another BTCS or Crash again? Guess what, what your asking for is like releasing BTCS again for no peticular reason. I personally love these tunes. If you actually listened and listened intently these are DMB based and original style DMB melodies. I think the ellaboration that DMB wants the fans and people out there to realize "They are creative and explore" and wanna know what the DMB has that other bands these days lack? The DMB has no limits and thats exactly what Dave said in the contents or the UTTAD guitar book. "This band has no limits", no one to say "Hey you can't do that!" and also in the recent edition of guitar mag, with the interview with Santana, also as you know great friend of DMB, said something to the extent of "people get themselves caught in this small music space where theyre already known to do this and do that and will be expected of doing this and that, I never want to do that." Again, you have your opinions, but don't wreck it for us who like this album. Also I don't think the DMB would think much of you that you talked trash about Batson. Your all Immature, A petition is the most retarded idea. Ofcourse theyre not going to give a shit, DMB is going to do its thing and if you like it good and if you dont thats fine but "let it be." Ill agree with you about one thing, it would be nice to see another lillywhite album, but lets see what the band wants to do, and why don't you listen to these songs a couple more times and actually listen to everything going on, theres more than one thing to listen to and see what direction they go live
peace
