The Batson influence is very obvious in this track. I don't dislike this clip, hopefully the song is good too.
This track is something different, but at least it's going somewhere, at least it's moving.
EDIT: How come when David Gray added drum loops and synth to his sound ala White Ladder it was lauded as genius?
You Might Die Trying Is Up
i think that everyone is trying really hard to expect the worst.bbatsell wrote:i enjoyed it greatly. just because they use an electronic beat doesn't mean it's bad at all... case in point - david gray. definitely has his roots in complete acoustic, folk music. over his last two albums he's begun incorporating more of this kind of electronic beats, and it's awesome, they're some of my favorite songs. he's expanding his sound. if we'd gotten another busted stuff, you guys would have complained again that it sounded like the band is just reusing their old songs... but now that we're not you bitch and moan too? come on...

we have carter, we don't need a fucking drum machine. not hard to grasp. it seems like mark is using carter as background noise, more then using him for the drummer that he really is.
i dontknow, i just thought that this track was awful. i have liked every other one, and i can't WAIT for some of them to come out, like dream girl and old dirt hill. but i just can't even listen to this one.
