arn't they different instruments? are we comparing Michael Jordan to Wayne Gretzky here? am I being overly sarcastic? am I having fun?
BOOYA BOOYA!!!!!!

in that case........Bela for sure........no wait, definately Tim, wait now sorry, it's gotta be Bela - he's freakin' amazing - I mean that solo in Spoon on BTCS melts me. But for solo Dave, it has to be Tim but for the full band I think Bela adds more, and Tim is just a bit excessive.
good, and you?

that I totally agree on...dave and bela solo is not as good as dave and tim would be at all I don't think, although, who knows, two guitars just seems more right, but full band, definitely bela, and you nailed it, I think I said it earlier, listen to spoon...both are great solo's but bela's is just unbelievably beautiful...and the kick...9/4/00 grace is gone with bela, that's all that need be said.

for my two cents on the issue, Bela is better. For those who talk of Bela only playing the banjo, he plays at least the guitar as well. And he was amazing on that as well. I saw him on a guitar for a Live at Studio 54 concert. I would agree that Tim is much more of a "jam" musician. Bela is technically FAR superior. He is a consummate musician. I don't think the same can be said of Tim. That being said, Tim is awesome.
As most have said, both are insanely talented, and it seems to me like asking, which would you rather have: 5,000,000,000 dollars or 4,900,000,000 dollars. Yeah, 5 billion is more than 4.9 billion, but 4.9 billion is still a crap-load of cash.

what would be your argument for tim? seriously, I'd like to hear it and discuss this civily. why do you feel tim is so great? I'm not asking as an attack. I just want to understand.
