Does anyone know if you can still purchase the Lillywhite Sessions CD anywhere? Its the only CD I don't own and it has JTR on it so I'd like to have it.

It's not a CD and it's never been available for purchase. It is a collection of some very rough recordings of songs the band made while in the studio for the last time with Lillywhite. They abandoned the CD after not liking where the CD was going and recorded their next CD with Glen Ballard (Everyday). The studio recordings were mysteriously leaked as 96kbps MP3's on Napster and quickly made the rounds of fans around the globe.

There's a copy at a local store in my town. You can sell bootlegs, i don't really know how it became legal but there are probably 20 shows at atleast two local stores around here. anyway, just thought i'd mention. They aren't releases from the band.

It's not legal. You should shoot an e-mail to the band telling them the name of the store, that is pretty horrid.

Yeah, definitely illegal to make any profit from their unreleased material. Also, I know I have said this before, but I am pretty sure a hard copy was leaked and SHN's were made from the original source. I remember testing the mp3 v. an SHN of JTR and you could definitely hear a much better recording.

There are all sorts of live shows from all sorts of bands. Most of the racks have atleast "a" live show that has been burned and labeled with a jewl case. I've seen stores in california as well that sell live shows. That's how i started my dave bootleg collection, i bought about 75 shows that way. I figured it was legal being the amount of stores i've seen that do it. I'll ask next time i'm in there.
*edit*
Does anyone know if there are any dl's around for the sessions. My copy was stolen when i let a friend borrow it.
