Star Lake - June 26&27 Official Thread

Unread post by jsgksu » Wed Apr 02, 2003 9:18 pm

Alright, so me and a lot of my friends are getting tickets for this concert this week. We will be going to both nights and camping out at the Racoon Creek State Park Campgorund. It is seven miles from the amphitheater. I mentioned in the Official Summer Tour Group thread that anyone who is going to these shows should get a spot at the campground, that way we could all meet up before and after the shows, hang out, get drunk and jam all night. If anyone is still interested the phone number for the campground is 724-899-2200, spots are already selling up so I suggest getting them soon. A non-electric site is $12 on Thursday and $15 on Friday. If youre interested let me know, my name is Jayme and I will be leaving my camp site number in this thread after I make reservations.

Alright, I know someone already started another thread up for this but I feel like keeping mine alive. I just made reservations for Raccoon Creek State Park, which is 7 miles from Star Lake, for June 26/27. Me and my friends will be in spots 14 & 16 on the F loop. I dont know what time we will arrive on Thursday but it shouldnt be too late. Im looking forward to meeting/jamming/drinking with anyone on here that is planning on attending the show. Feel free to post your plans for the show on here and we can all try to meet up wherever.

Cool, just keep in touch over aol during the summer and we'll exchange cell numbers or something so we can meet up. Anyone else going to the show and wants to stop by and have a few beers and play a little guitar let us know!

HOLY SHIT!!!! As I stated in a previous post I was a little drunk but I remember the concerts and they were amazing. There were some insane jams/segues Ive never heard and they blew me away. I havent seen them for a few years and their light show/video show has gotten even better, it was awesome. Check out the setlists on dmbalmanac and you'll see what I mean. I cant wait to get these two shows on disc and listen to the shit out of them. If you havent ever seen DMB or you havent been to a show yet this year get one, they are back and better than ever!!

Agreed~!! I had great seats for nite one... and that SMTS>>ASTB>>PNP>>Rapunzel was straight up blasphemous. It was also great to hear Nancies>>WH back in the mix, we were close enough to see Dave slide up the neck for the stop time, as Carter & Boyd finished up Nancies, we were FREAKIN' out. I was bummed that I had to work the next night, I still haven't heard Minarets this tour.
