I'm pretty sure I'm the only one whose not super psyched about this tour so far. I love the band, and I love all of their music, but July 10th being my first show ever, I'd rather hear my favorites rather than something "rare." To be perfectly honest, I really could care less about hearing Dreaming Tree, PFWYG, Seek Up, Cry Freedom, Drive in Drive Out, and a few others. If you ask me, theyre not even close to the best the band has to offfer. I can understand a veteran concert goers opinion though, and I really respect them wanting to hear some songs they've never heard live...as opposed to crash again. If I could pick my dream set it would be something along the lines of (in order of looking through the albums..not my favorites): Ants, Billies, Satellite, Minarets, Christmas Song, Bowa, Wwys, Smts, Crash, 41, LIOG, Proudest Monkey, Haloween, Crush, Angel, Bartender. I'm just curious though, If I'm the only one who feels this way about the current concerts? Im just glad Im not posting this on nancies or something......I have a feeling someone would manage to find out where I live and burn my house to the ground or something.

Yes and no. A lot of newbies and casual fans feel the same way. I've been to a good number of shows spread out over a couple years, and I've heard ants 6 or 7 times at least, billies about the same, crush ALL the time, bunch of LIOG, I've been lucky enough to hear Halloween live...you get the point. Now I dont feel like I deserve anything, and I honestly have a great time hearing the "staples" at a show...but after shelling out tons of cash I appreciate a little variation.m98ter wrote:I'm just curious though, If I'm the only one who feels this way about the current concerts?

And I can definitely see your point about variation as well. I'm sure if I had heard ants 8 times at a concert I wouldnt care to hear it again either. I wouldnt really consider myself a newbie or a casual fan though...although I am a live show newbie....maybe thats what it boils down to....me being new to their concerts but not their music? I just think I'm going to be one of the few who isn't overly excited about this tour if it continues as it is....well, the only one other than the girls I hear about that scream crash and satellite throughout the entire thing...

i don't really get sick of dmb songs, but it's always nice to hear something new at a show, and i like that the band keeps that going. i've seen the band 14 times and i still manage to hear a song that i've never heard before every time i go. they ALWAYS surprise me, and i leave every show saying "this was the best show i've ever seen" (with the exception of 4/5/02, what an awful night
). i guess that's how you know you have found your favorite band.

I don't love them because they are rare...I love them because I consider them to be of the best work...but both of us are just stating opinions...I am sure you will enjoy the concert regardlessm98ter wrote: I'd rather hear my favorites rather than something "rare."
