well, i just got back. i was only planning on the first night and was maybe gonna stay for #2 but couldn't
but, that was one hell of a first night. i have to say that pig starting it off blew my mind. #41 was fucking crazy, they jammed on every fucking song and even went into everyday at the end of 41 and then went back. best song of the night i would say was jimi thing, dave actually up'd his little jam into an actual solo(think proudest monkey style solo) then he did this scat like thing where he just went off for like 8-10min.
i was a little worried about being checked at the door(i was packin') but it was totally no prob. there was def. a lot of smoke at this show
oh yeah, jason mraz kicked ass!

RAAAAWWWW!!! Holy shit! Cool show! Right in the middle section, only a few rows back. Yes, I saw Two Step and it was the best one I've seen. They of course played most of the new ones, (Joyride, Hello Again, Crazy Easy and Sugar Will if I'm not mistaken) and they were pretty good. Hello Again was fantastic as usual, and Sugar Will has changed since I last heard it and it's grown on me. What I didn't expect to hear were songs like Recently, Lover Lay Down and Cry Freedom. Dave's voice was pretty shot toward the middle of the show, but the show still sounded good. The whole family made it there and they were quite impressed. Mom and Dad, having never heard much of DMB's stuff, said it was the best concert they've ever been to. Man, what a night. Beautiful weather, sky, even the crowd was nice and the "fans" didn't really do anything to bug me. I guess I was in a good spot. Damn man. I wanna go back a few hours and do it all over again.
For those of you who w2ere there....JELLYBEANS!!

I finally recovered from the trip all the way back to Texas from the gorge. The set lists were really good and i really like Hello again and Joy ride, but i must say i am pretty disappointed with the gorge. Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful and the perfect setting for a dave show but there was not the same energy that i am used to at shows. i may have also been expecting a little too much from Dave during this trip but the fans were the most disappointing.

Everything was set up for perfection, the background, the set list, and the reputation of the place but nothing outrageous happened at the show and the crowd didn't seem too in to it. Before the encores everyone just kinda waited for them to come back out. I was cheering my head off cause i wanted to hear something spectacular but the rest of the crowd seemed content with a couple of songs and then walk halfway around the world back to the camp site.
