Weight of the world. Its a lost gem. Why arent there any tabs for that. I dont know, someone have something to say. And I think Dave should play it more.
She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this light it could change everything about her. I know why you're here Dave.

Re: wieght of the world
it's not played anymore because it evovled into don't drink the water, in the same way reconcile your differences evolved into bartender and after her evolved into satellite.deeds79 wrote:Weight of the world. that would be the last stop reprise, and you can find the tab for it at the end of the tab for last stop.Onebadmofo wrote:DUDE!! yeah, it's straight, a lot of people don't realize that since it wasn't at the end of last stop when it was played on btcs.Onebadmofo wrote:Ah, my bad I heard dave say that line at the end of last stop on the chicago cd and thought thats what he was talking about. My mistake and what not.

This might then sound like a dumb question...
I love Dave TONS, but how on earth do people know such things as weight of the world evolved into Last Stop? I only knew that After Her is Satellite because I heard After her and was like, sweet this is what Satellite is going to be. Is this the same case for other people? just wondering. CFN

actually leave me praying evolved into weight of the world which evolved into don't drink the water not last stop, it's just part of the last stop reprise... and i guess it's just a matter of tracking dave's music... don't really knowdeeds79 wrote:I love Dave TONS, but how on earth do people know such things as weight of the world evolved into Last Stop? i know what evolved from what just by listening to it. if you listen to weight of the world or leave me praying, you can tell it would eventually become don't drink the water, same way with after her and satellite. here's a list of all of the known evolutions of dave songs (taken from a post on nancies.org):
"1. After Her - played by Dave solo at the Rutabega Demo Session (1/5/92), it was the original version of Satellite w/ alternate lyrics.
2. Any Noise/Anti Noise - played by Dave solo in ‘93, this evolved into Say Goodbye.
3. Route 2 - played once on 12/11/93, this evolved into Proudest Monkey.
4. 41 Police - played spring/summer of ‘95 by the full band, this evolved into #41.
5. Don't Burn the Pig - played by the band in ‘95 and once in ‘96, this evolved into Pig.
6. WWBOM - outro to Jimi Thing played by band in '95 and later by D&T, became music to Pantala Naga Pampa.
7. Transition Breakdown - played in late '95 w/ whole band, turned into Little Thing w/ D & T. The chorus of Transition Breakdown is the chorus of Dreams of our Fathers
8. Weight Of The World - played by D&T in ‘96/‘97, this evolved into Leave Me Praying.
9. Leave Me Praying - played by the band in the summer of ‘97, this evolved into Don't Drink The Water.
10. Crazy - played during D&T tours in ‘97/’99, recorded for Lillywhite sessions but not released, evolved into Captain.
11. Reconcile Our Differences - played by D&T in ‘99, this evolved into Bartender
12. John The Revalator - originally played with Santana, evolved into JTR when the "who's that writing? john the revalator" line was removed."

If I'm not mistaken I think Santana is a big reason JTR never made it onto the final Busted Stuff release. I have no idea where I read it but Carlos Santana was eventually supposed to add his guitar talent to JTR for its release on the Lillywhite Sessions (despite the no guests policy on the album). This was going to be a reciprocation for Dave lending his vocals to "Love of My Life" on Santana's Supernatural. However, we all know the Lillywhites got scraped for Everyday but Carlos Santana still made good by guesting on "Mother Father". I have a feeling DMB is holding on to JTR until Santana can come back and record the song with them.
Peace,
Kev
