If they others didn't agree with the stance, they wouldn't be playing. Boyd also has played a few democratic benifits. Dave has spoken out against bush and the war for quite a while. He posted something on dmband.com a while back before the war, saying he couldn't be silent, and said that he believes that the war was wrong, and that there were no weapons of mass destruction (hmmm, he was right), and that there was no connection between alqueda (spelling?) and Iraq (hmmm, he was right), and that the war would be the thing to bring connections (hmmm, right again). Then tons of republican sites bashed him, telling him he was wrong (um, seems that he wasn't wrong) and has no right to speak out since he was just a musician that knew nothing. Um, we all have the right to speak out mind, that's a right we have in this country. Also, Dave is a pretty smart guy. And if he speaks out during the concert a little, I wouldn't be surprised, since this concert is for a political movement.

wiether you agree with dave's view or not, he has the right about what he posted, and the band has the right, to say or do what they want, since they are american citizens just like us.

Freedom of speech, we all have it, and we ALL can use it.

plus DMB played clintons second inauguration party in 1996. and since DMB is all or nothing, so they seem to all be on board for this one. also just because a musician has a bigger stage to voice his opinions on, doesnt mean its wrong.

Hey Ranting,

This is not meant to be rude...just wondering. :D

Your vote for Kerry is not because of the war in Iraq is it? Like I said and its all fact (even Kerry said so) he voted to go into Iraq and STILL supports it. What is your take on that?

Take care!

Well, back on topic... I'll be at the Dayton one. I can't wait to see Ben, he's the man. Anywho, I will be upset if there's a bunch of political mumbo-jumbo going on, but I doubt that'll be the case. Dave usually makes any situation a good time, though.

Listen to what he said. He would do it, but not the way Bush did. He wouldn't have gone alone and alienate most of our allies. Also, not without more information on the weapons and where to look. He also would have let the UN inspectors have more time to look. He would have not been hasty or reckless like Bush was. He would have also wanted more info on the relations with terrorists and Iraq.

Again, he wouldn't have been as reckless and alienating as Bush.

Also, my vote is against almost everything Bush ever did. I also have watched Kerry more and more, and the more I see, the more I like. I would vote independant if I could, but Kerry wouldn't be bad, not great but not bad.

Yeah, I can understand some things you said. You have to remember though, the UN weapons inspectors were kicked out then let back in a thousand times dating back to the Clinton and Bush Sr. years. That is why Clinton bombed Baghdad years ago and because they were violating the No Fly Zone. We were getting the run-a-round from Saddam.

Also, Bush did not lie about WMD's, he was given the wrong info from the CIA and George Tennent (spelling). If they were hounding the president saying they have WMD's in post 9/11, what would you do.......sit and do nothing?

Anyway, honestly Kerry and Bush both suck....we just have to choose the one that sucks the least.
