You shouldn't have to pay more than a little over face value. If you wait till near the show starting, they will start to get desprate and just sell it for what ever they can get. It's lawn, no one is going to be able to "make" too much money off them. Eveyone normally wants seats so lawn is considered settling for tickets.
i appreciate the feedback people but there is a sneaking suspision i have the in the States it is illegal to charge more then face value. Here in Canada however i belive it is compleatly illegal to scalpe but it in NEVER enforced. Therefore they carge whatever they want. I remember paying double the value of a ben harper J>J ticket last summer......your thoughts?

It is completely legal to sell tickets at more than face value AS LONG AS the seller is not within 300 yards of the event venue. Therefore, it is illegal for scalpers at DMB shows to sell them at more than face value, but not illegal for scalpers to sell them on eBay for $300+.

Depends on if they contain copyrighted or trademarked material. I imagine that "Dave Matthews Band" is a registered trademark, and the use of it without permission for profit could result in a lawsuit from the band against the perpetrators.jsgksu wrote:is it also illegal to sell bootleg t-shirts in the parking lot of shows. Scalping laws vary from state to state. Here in New Jersey it is illegal to sell for more than 10% above face value. But it's different for every state.TrippnBill686 wrote:Here are the US laws:searly wrote:i appreciate the feedback people but there is a sneaking suspision i have the in the States it is illegal to charge more then face value. Two years ago I had an extra ticket that I had to get rid of, but so did everyone else at the venue. I had to sell it for $10. That was the worst.
