DMB's new songs for the 2004 tour
I went over to antsmarching and DL'd the June 17th set cuz I wanted to hear the 4 new songs DMB is playing this tour. It was cool that "Rapunzel" and "Drive In Drive Out" were played. But about the news songs...I duno. I don't like them all that much. I like "Thing" (I am guessing that is the song played at Bonaroo by D&F). I was hoping those songs would be in a similar style, but a lap steel intro to "Grace is Gone" and "Hello Again" make me feel like DMB is a bit more 'country' than I recall...Where's the funkiness that I grew to love? Anyone else heard the new songs yet? Like 'em or no?
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.

I love all of em. Sugar Will and Hmm? being my favorites. I love Sugar Will and Hello Again because of the fact that its not characteristic of DMB. You cant go, oh sugar will sounds like this song, and this song, where in Joyride, it sounds very similar to rapunzel. And Hello Again is borderline country, the verse anyway. Altogether I love'em all tho, its good to see Dave kind of broadening his horizons.
