good question. I like Raven, You Never Know, Grey Street, and Bartender the most. But I also like the other ones. I miss the lyrics from Kit Kat Jam and I miss JTR from the Lillywhite sessions but you can't always get what you want (to quote the Rolling Stones) .

good, and you?
You Never Know and Big Eyed Fish are really good, but I've always liked Busted Stuff since Lillywhite so it gets my vote. I wish it had the old lyrics though, and gravedigger I wanted lyrics in Kit Kat and I wanted JTR, too. I also thought Sweet Up And Down was pretty good and I like the old lyrics of Captain better, too.

Busted up
I love the Lillywhite version of Captain - almost my favorite song period. I was some what dissapointed by the electric on the Busted Stuff Captain but oh well. I dig the new lyrics for Raven and I love the Grey Street lyrics. I fuckin' Love Bartender and You Never Know the best I think!!

raven's definitely my favorite, though captain is a close second. did anybody else feel like the band lost their sound on the album though? when you listen to the lilywhite sessions then busted stuff, it feels like two different bands. personally, i like the underdeveloped, raw feel of the lilywhite sessions better than the actual album. i really missed JTR, too.

Although I liked the subdued version of the Lillywhite, or the strangely timed out acoustic with Tim version (crazy), I also must say I like the jazzy sound of the new Captain as much as the others...Dave sings almost a lounge style and Carter throws in that extra funky lead into the one part ("its for noone but me to say..."). I like them all...now if only I had a nice studio version of all of them (dream)!

Yeah thats sweet!. I like your description "subdued" for the Lillywhite Captain - I was looking for a word like that. I also like the GiG from the sessions moreso than Busted Stuff for more or less the same reason. The Busted Stuff versions do have an edge to them which I like. I like em all, as well. I voted for Bartender but I could've easily voted for Grey Street, or one of the other ones.firedancer86 wrote: Carter throws in that extra funky lead into the one part ("its for noone but me to say...").

oh yeah, i'm the only one who said where are you going...I really do like this song in a lot of ways. while you never know is a better song, on the album I don't like it much. I think Diggin' a Ditch and WAYG are the best songs on that album.
