When did you start listening to Dave?
When did you start listening to Dave?
I'm quite a newbie at this actually, I didn't really become a fan until April 2001. I had always liked their big singles, Ants Marching and DDTW and Crash and Satellite, but I never really felt compelled to buy any CDs until my buddy made me download Too Much. The next day I bought Crash, and quickly filled in the rest of the catalogue. In June I lucked into going to a show, and I decided I'd buy a guitar and figure out how to play some Dave songs.
Well that's my boring story, if anyone else wants to post about when they became a Dave fan, I think it's kinda interesting.

my brother came home from college in 1999 and he had a copy of Crash, so i listened to the whole thing, and being in my depressed mood at the time, i liked it a lot. then about a year later i picked up his guitar and said i wanted to learn how to play dave. a few months later i bought an electric guitar. thats my story...

Sort Of A Protest Song wrote:I don't know if this is shameful or not, but after waking up in a girls bed that was really high up off the ground (almost top-bunkbed type high) I told her that if I fell off I'd "come back to life as a white wizard". I was still a bit tipsy. She did not laugh.

Listened occationally since Crash. That was my first album. My first fav of their was WWYS. It was my dream to be able to play that song. I didn't think it would ever happen. Then I started listening to more of crash over summer 01 and like it. So I eventually downloaded every song I could find of theirs and I couldn't get enough. I even pissed off my roommate cuz that's all I listened to. Then they were on Last Call and that's when I really started hanging around the message boards and that's when it really happened. So I'm really new. Only 1 show. But I've spent so much time of my life on DMB, i feel like i've been a fan since the beginning.
