Listening to this version, I hate to say it but this song has lost its luster for me. It's such a good idea, that main riff is fucking awesome, but god damn its just Dave screaming now over it. It should have a coherent set of lyrics by now. He should have fleshed out the story he was telling during the very first version, those lyrics worked very well, I don't know why he didn't stick with them. And the chorus/bridge whatever you want to call it does not fit at all, it sounds so disjointed. I really thought this song was going to become something special when I first heard it two years ago, but they have taken it in the wrong direction. I would like to think they will patch it up in the studio, because like I said the core of a really good song is there, but we all know how little they care in the studio now so I think this song just is what it is.

This is the problem with the bonus disc version.

I agree and wasn't thrilled with the songs much either. I upped them just because I figured after #40, they'd be the ones people were curious to check out for better or worse.
