Tim strumming

how does tim strum real fast at the end of dreaming tree or dancing nancies? whats the rhythm

As you can see, part of the trick is to strum closer to the neck, so your arm can be more relaxed.
Then, practice, practice, practice...

Just listened to it a few times through and slowed it down, so I could really hear it, and this is what I came up with:

hard to explain, but my friend who is really good at playing faster, heavy rock solos and stuff like that showed me how I could pick faster because I'm usually a rhythm player, and he was telling me to point my fingers more down then straight on with the strings like I usually have them... it might sound weird typed out, but it worked for me

edit: like the pick is more at a downward angle, if that makes sense.
