Dave interview

Unread post by EnFuego » Fri Jan 09, 2004 1:08 am

After reading the Dave interviews in GWA and Rolling Stones I was pretty excited to hear about them basing the new CD around Carter. I'd say that he is the most talented in the group. I'm just hoping that the will come out with some songs similar to the ones that got me listening to Dave like The Stone, #41, Lie in Our Graves, Warehouse, Jimi Thing, Two Step, and Dreaming Tree. Those were the days.

Something tells me they won't ever go back to that, but I can still have my hopes.

I hear that. Once they put out everyday it seemed like they were straying from that stuff, but maybe this will help them get back to the good ol days (not that these days arent good ol)

Yeah, Carter is definitly the leader and most talented of the group...by far. Glad to hear this, though I wish they would go back to there old style. Maybe they will go to a more fusion/funk stlye. Ah, that was there old style...oh well

Dave said that BTCS was their best album and theyre going back to the way that made that cd and basing it around carter more so maybe itll be a more BTCS type album, that would be awesome.

Seriously I think Carter is the only person with full sponsership by Zildjian, Yamaha, Promark, and LP percussion. Plus probably what he wears during concerts. Carter is the backbone of the band you have to admit that. Considering he is completely self taught is pretty amaizing. I have so much appreciation for Carer, heh, its kinda wierd. I have a lot to say but I cant think how to write it down. oh yeah, Carter was the first person dave had in mind for the band, and he wanted to maked sure he had HIM. Read in a ionterview of Dave praiseing Carter somewhere, gotta see if I can find it.
