My West Palm N2 Review

Unread post by Kahn » Sun Aug 13, 2006 11:16 am

First let me say, that I went through the biggest nightmare to get my tickets, but it all worked out in the end. I would also like to say that I haven't seen DMB since 2004 and I haven't listened to any live tapes, so all the new jams and extensions were all new to me last night. Also, the crowd was fucking awesome. Everyone was into the new songs and just generally pleasant. To the show.

OSW - Surprise! Standard, but got me dancing.
JTR - Nice.
Hunger - The lights were cool, and I danced. Short and painless.
Idea of You - This song is sex
Grey Street - Sub-par version I thought. Crowd went nuts.
Break Free - I loved it. I love the chorus.
Bayou - Boo. I hated it. Beer time.
Crash - Surprisingly, it was one of the highlights of the evening. Crowd ate it up and I absorbed some of the vibes.
Die Trying - Eh. Rashawn owned it but still not that cool.
Nancies - Nice.
Can't Stop - Beer time. This song blows.
Jimi Thing - Waaaaayyyy to long. It was the first time I heard the Butch scat, and it was really good I thought.
SMTS > ASTB > TM - Eh. Standard.
Stay - The outro was soooo long. Wanted to pull the plugs. How many times can you repeat "Makes me wanna makes me wanna"

I called the entire encore during the break

Sister - Was neat. A lot of people left during this song.
ABI - It was cool. Not what its hyped up to be though
Two Step - My umpteenth two step, I left at the first chorus. I'm sure it was good though.

All in all, cool show. The new stage set up was great, and I had an awesome time. Thank you to my neighbor who shared his weed with me too.

Did his voice sound as bad being there live as it did on the videos? (I know we're beating to death this whole "dave's voice sucks this tour" lately but his voice for N2 was just horrible)

I thought Dave's voice was pretty good for both night's at Camden this year.

I was joking that if you're awake, then you're effed up.
