Security at Hi Fi Buys (Atlanta)

Unread post by mattinbeloit » Mon Aug 07, 2006 10:20 pm

So this will be my first show of the summer and my first time at the venue. How has security been this tour, do the ppl. at the door have wands or anything? What about in the past in this venue? I want to crotch my digital camera, but if they have been using wands I'll get a disposable and hope I get some decent shots.

When they pat you down, hold your camera in your hand and cover it with your keys, hold your cell phone in the other hand.

My camera's bigger than that. I'm just saying if you hold the keys in your hand with it instead of just holding your camera.

just go check it out. you have to stand in line before you get searched, you'll be able to see.

Ya i know. I just remember at the vote for change tour they using wands so I had to go back to the truck. Then the next show at christmas at hi fi buys they were using them again, but I was taping the show so I got pulled aside and searched by a special person. Kohl center was the last venue I've been too, I was just wondering if all the venues had started to do this now...

here's how ive always gotten my digi cam into concerts. just take it in with you and hide an extra set of batteries somewhere like your shoe or something. every venue ive been to has just taken the batteries out of the camera and given it back to me, so then once inside i just used the extras that i had stashed.

Does DMB have a no camera policy? The venue I work at allows all cameras (besides professional ones with detatchable lenses) unless the band has a no camera policy, in which case we enforce it.
