The GORGE September 1-3 2006..
who's going this year???? we got 8th row section B, dead center, from warehouse, which means there is a very very great possibility of me going. closest seats i ever had.
anyone else going or ever been there?? is Seattle the closest airport, or is there one closer?? and whats the deal with the camp grounds on the Gorge site?

Hey,
I'm pretty sure I'm going, I have tickets for N1 and am still on the hunt for the other two. Sounds like you have awesome seats, you'll have to let me know if they come available!
I'm not sure about the local airports, we had to fly into Seattle because it was an international flight. Something you might want to check out, though. All the same, Seattle is a cool spot, and well worth spending a day there if you can afford it, just get a late returning flight on Monday or something.
I haven't stayed at the Gorge campgrounds, so I can only tell you what I've heard, and that is that it's really loud all the time and it's hard to get any sleep. We stayed at Wildhorse last year and it was perfect. It's about a half hour walk form the venue (and the Gorge camp). Good partying, awesome people, and the shut it down at a decent hour. Plus they shuttle you back and forth to the conmcert for free.
If you have any more questions just let me know.

Im booking my flight in the next couple of days. $380ish round trip on JetBlue..not bad.tbillie41 wrote:the gorge is about a 3 hour drive from seattle, but the drive itself is worth it, because it's so god damn beautiful out there. if i had seats that good i'd go.

I might go. Its really a monetary issue, and whether I can fit it in with the start of school. I'll keep an eye on the setlists to, to see if they are worth it. If every show is like the St Louis show last night (Except for HFTGL and the truncated greystreet) I'll strongly consider it.
