Just got back from the show in Carson. It was pretty good, especially near the end. The middle Smooth Rider -> Out Of My Hands was really dull, though. I'm really liking Louisiana Bayou, especially the badass outro with Robert Randolph tonight. BoWA and Two Step were as good as ever - great Butch and Carter solos in that last one. Going back tomorrow, hope there are fewer Stand Up songs.

Just got back from night two. Great opening and ending of the actual set, but the massive amounts of Stand Up songs in the middle was really off-putting, ESPECIALLY Dream Girl for the second time. You Might Die Trying is actually really good live, so I'm starting to like that one along with Hello Again and Louisiana Bayou, but the other songs are really dull. I sat down for Stolen Away and Steady As We Go, and (ironically) Stand Up.
On a side note, Old Dirt Hill -> What You Are had to be the most disappointing encore ever. Robert Randolph in Watchtower was badass, and Leon Mobley (who is he anyways?) added a nice touch.
Pantala Naga Pampa
Rapunzel
What Would You Say
One Sweet World
When The World Ends
Stand Up
Lie In Our Graves
American Baby Intro
Dream Girl
Warehouse *
Steady As We Go
Hunger For The Great Light
Ants Marching
Stolen Away On 55th & 3rd
You Might Die Trying
Tripping Billies
All Along The Watchtower *+

These were some of the best days we've ever spent in L.A. With many friends present in the house, the band played their hearts out. Leon Mobley of Innocent Criminals fame and Robert Randolph joined the band in producing some amazing music. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the storm in the Gulf. See y'all on Tuesday.

you know why it sucked? because every time they played something really awesome, they put a shit song right after. so the energy never stayed up. it would go up, then they'd kill it.
