if they just took out smooth rider and stolen away and replaced them with....well, anything else.... it would be soooo much better.

I just hate how they'll repeat songs back to back in the same venue. I guarantee they play a few of those shit songs tomorrow night. If you change towns, do the same set list if you want. But when you have a catalog that large you shouldnt repeat songs in the same town back to back, you know plenty of people go to both shows.

Re: Official Latest Show Thread
yoooooo just got back from the show, had a good good time
going into the show, i had no expectations. previous years i would look at setlists, get all excited about what rarities might get played, etc. i havent listened to dmb enough in the past year to care, honestly, so just went in the with mindset of having a good time. this was my last night in the area for 2 months (i leave for south carolina for an 8 week internship tomorrow morning), so a lot of my friends were there and we were all in the lawn having a good time. i was drunk and high to a point of retardation. and i met up with matt (klondog)! this took great amounts efforts due to my fucked-up-ness, i crept up to some guy who i thought was matt, stared him in the eyes, and was like, "matt?" he was not matt. but then i met up with matt, so it was all good.
as for the show itself, good stuff, nothing special. again, as i said, i had no expectations, but i still felt offended when bayou and stolen away were played. i went and got drinks during bayou. tim ripped up a lot of songs, rhyme and reason in particular. that was my favorite of the night, followed by what would you say. dave's riff in the middle for the jam hit me hard. it was good. one sweet world had no instrumental intro (lame), sister is still boring and shouldnt count as a song in the encore (as in if they play sister, it should be a 3 song encore). thank you ROCKED as well, and was probably my 3rd favorite of the night. i was waiting for it to launch into ants or billies though, cause the end just kinda faded off and then they walked offstage, it didnt really end with a bang. i thought second encore was coming but then stage crew came out.
again, good but not great. ive seen all of these songs multiple times live before (besides sdl and thank you, which i saw once each at dave and friends), but tim really added a lot. i wish they would of played one long jam song (lie in our graves, seek up, crush, etc), but ill get over it. sure tomorrow night will get hunger but probably some good stuff too.
here's a pic of matt (klondog) and me. he's on the left and im gone on the right

Re: Official Latest Show Thread
Summer is here indeed, and we're back on the road. We kicked off the tour near Pittsburgh tonight where the weather could not have been better for the gathering. The band and crew alike are profoundly excited about the new show. The lights, video and sound just keep getting better. We've been blessed by the guitar gods with the return of Tim Reynolds to the DMB stage (y'all are gonna get your butts kicked this summer). Hope to see you soon.
