Damn thats a good set. Nice to see they moved away from having a Stand Up song in the first encore slot, things were getting predictable.

Great fucking show! That #41 opener was a suprise, and they even did a little Everyday outro, which I always enjoy. I thought they were going to go into YNK after ABI, cuz Carter was jaming on the rim, and had a killer solo, but we got just as pleasant a suprise with Say Goodbye. Bartender kicked ass, particularly because this near-full moon started peeking out of the clouds for the first time just as it started, was glowing this crazy orange-ish during the whole song and disappeared again for the rest of the show after they finished. It was just really strange timing.
I also got my first ever full-band BOWA, and while not a technical first ever full-band LIOG I'll consider it my first, since I had no idea what was going on at my first ever show when I heard it. I was thrilled to hear Time Of The Season, and I always like a good R&R and LLD. I've seen PNP-Rapunzel and WYA (especially as a closer) a million times, so those were eh.
I must say, though, that I wasn't as impressed with LB as I thought I'd be. HFTGL also seems like it lacks energy, and those are two of my favorites off the new album. YMDT, Smooth Rider, ABI and Dreamgirl were way better than I expected, though, so it's all gravy.
Overall a great show, and a really solid set list. I'm hoping for more of the same tonight. It'll be my first time in the pavillion at Alpine, so we'll be CLOSE.
BTW, does it seem that the band is taking way less time between songs than on previous tours? Maybe it's just me.

Hey, I met two guys from Kenosha while sitting on the lawn. You weren't one of them were you? You didn't meet anybody from Green Bay, by chance?littlefriend420 wrote:Great fucking show!
